About

By all rights I should be a liberal. At least that’s what I have been told.

I grew up in a Union State. My parents were pretty solid Democrats. I was a student in Ann Arbor in the 1970’s. I campaigned for George McGovern. My brother was a Union leader. I worked for the federal government for 37 years. I live in a Blue city.

I can easily see the world from the political left, and yet I am not on the political left. Maybe I never was. Maybe I was and I changed. I do know what I know. Life is very clear to me. It was not always so clear. I have observed and thought about many things during my journey through life.

I hope one day to turn this blog into a book. The numbered posts and Categories correspond to my preliminary book outline. If you want to get an idea of how I’m thinking of organizing the book, read the posts in numerical order.

I also have many other thoughts that don’t seem to fit into my preconceived notion of the book I’d like to write. Those posts are not numbered, but they are categorized.

This blog is dedicated to the remnant, and the meek, those who inherited the earth. I will get around to explaining what that means.
